Herbert Retail sign new slicer maintenance agreement with Tesco
Herbert Retail has recently signed a new agreement with Tesco where it is taking on the responsibility of maintaining all of the supermarket group’s slicer estate of over 1,700 machines.
“This is an important step forward for us as a business. It brings us even closer together with Tesco without the complication of a mix of competing product being supplied to the estate.”
said Mick Wall, Client Director for Tesco.
“This, along with other projects that we are working on with Tesco, is a vote of confidence in Herbert Retail and its ability to provide a service level that our peers in the market struggle to match.”
Herbert Retail and Tesco have enjoyed a close working relationship since 1960, and over these last 50 years Herbert Retail and Tesco have worked together successfully on many significant projects including decimalisation, metrication as well as the introduction of pioneering software that linked a store’s scales and printers to a central computer system.
Working with Herbert Retail has been part of the successful history of Tesco to date and is very much the key to the future success of both organisations.
